OK, so the session’s booked … what’s next? If we’ll be working together on location outdoors, pack a small bag with some essentials: something to drink and snack on, a few favorite toys and noisemakers (great for both kids and fur kids) and anything else that might aid outdoor play. You’re welcome to bring a change of clothing too, if you’d like.
If we’re photographing at your home, you may want to have a quick tidy up so that there aren’t too many distracting objects in the background … but please don’t go on a crazy home-sanitizing mission. I won’t judge if it’s been a little while since you last vacuumed and dusted – a relaxed, homey feel is just fine. ![]()
Have a think about what your kid or fur kid likes to play on, with or in. The whole point is to get them relaxed and having fun, so using their favorite toys and hangouts is a no-brainer. If there are any areas of the house that you’d prefer not to have photographed, just let me know at the beginning of the session; everywhere else is fair game. The more options we have for backgrounds and lighting, the better!
If you have any questions, just give me a shout.
